Good morning!
Today I’m sharing my card for Christmas in July #4, the prompt was watercoloring. What messy fun! This was my first experience using watercolor paper…1st attempt went in the trash LOL! The second time I was a little more light handed with the water brush and ink, especially around the edges where I used a darker green.
I’d also like to share this card with the Christmas in July challenge at Simply Create Too.
I watercolored the green panel with Pear Pizazz and Garden Green inks onto watercolor paper. After it dried, I mounted it to a Cherry Cobbler panel and then on to a Papertrey Ink Stampers Select White cardstock base. I then stamped the sentiment from Christmas Messages. I stamped the Mosaic Madness stamp with Cherry Cobbler ink onto Whisper White cardstock and punched them out using the Mosaic punch. I finished the card off with a few basic rhinestones. Oh and the “strings” were drawn in using a journaling pen.
Thanks for visiting today!

I love the way you used the shapes as ornaments and the gems are the perfect finishing touch! TFS!

I think you’ve achieved a very soft and well-blended watercolor BG. Careful, watercolors are addicting 😉 Thanks for joining the fun at Simply Create Too’s Christmas in July.
