MFT Up in the Air

Hello for the 3rd time today. I hope you all aren’t sick of me yet lol. I spent most of the weekend home and was off work today, so I have had way more craft time than usual.

Tonight’s card is for an MFT card swap and for the MFT sketch that ends tomorrow at noon.

I had these images colored from one of the #100dayproject days earlier this month. It was nice having images ready to go instead of debating on what stamps to use, what colors to use, you get the idea! All I had to do was cut them out and decide how best to lay them out on my card front. Keeping the images, paper and stamp set together is key for a successful project. I was able to select a sentiment to add to the card once I had it glued down.

Here is the sketch~

Thanks for stopping by!

SU Sneak Peek – Love What You Do and Varied Vases

Hi again!

I finished this card a couple hours ago for a flower card swap and used the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches. I used the new Love What You Do and Varied Vases stamp sets again.

I am getting it linked just in time before the challenge ends. I ended up going for a walk with my Mom for a bit. It is such a beautiful day out. We have been waiting for months for this kind of weather!

I was going to leave the background plain but too much white space drives me crazy lol! So I used a stamp from the Love What You Do set to make a tone on tone polka dot background. The paper has some pearlized flowers and the doily is pearlized as well. I forgot to try and capture how pretty it is when I took photos earlier.

The flowers were watercolored with Rich Razzleberry and Blackberry Bliss inks using a blender pen. The sentiment and leaves from Varied Vases were stamped on Crumb Cake cardstock and cut out with the classic label punch and popped up with dimensionals.

SU Sneak Peek – Varied Vases

I am back with another card using the new Varied Vases stamp set from Stampin’ Up!

I love stamping with this set. It was so easy to line up the images on my Tim Holtz stamp platform.

For this card I chose to work with the color challenge at Color Throwdown of red, green and white. The flowers look a little more pink though as they were watercolored with the SU Real Red watercolor pencil. They blend beautifully but appear lighter than the regular color does. This was my first time using them.

One more flower card done for a flower swap. I may have signed up for too many lol, couldn’t wait to make springy cards after the very long winter we had!

SU Sneak Peek – Love What You Do

Hi again!

I made this card today for a flower card swap using a new set from Stampin’ Up! called Love What You Do. I used a sketch from Global Design Project. I really like this sketch to showcase the designer series paper. It’s so pretty!

I colored the flowers with my Stampin Blends and cut them out using the Layering Oval Framelits.  The card base is one of the returning colors, Blackberry Bliss. Love this color!

Here is the sketch (I rotated it for my card) ~

Thanks for visiting!
