Christmas in July Day 2 – Rustic Retreat & Merry Christmas to All

Tonight’s card is for Christmas in July Day 2. Our prompt is to use Christmas washi tape.

I’m linking this card to the Anything Goes challenge at Tuesday Throwdown.

I pulled out some retired Christmas washi tape and papers from Stampin Up to use with my new Rustic Retreat set that I won a couple days ago. I paired them with a set I bought last year and never inked up, Merry Christmas to All.

I stamped the house twice so I could make a mask. I   then stamped the trees on the far left and far right. I didn’t want them to overlap with the trees around the house. The image was colored with Stampin Blends and Stampin Write markers.

I wasn’t sure what to do with the washi tape since I rarely use it. I settled on adding a strip to the bottom and adding some to make the image look like it’s framed.

Christmas in July Day 1 – Dashing Deer

One of my crafty groups has an annual Christmas  in July card challenge and it has been years since I participated. I decided to join in since I haven’t made many Christmas cards over the last few years.

For this card I used all current Stampin Up supplies, it has been a personal challenge for me to use many stamp sets that haven’t seen ink yet.

The card layout is the current sketch at Sunday Stamps.

20 Minute Butterfly Card

I really wanted to play along with the sketch challenge at The Paper Players this week so I made some time tonight. Once I decided what stamp set to use, this card went together quick and easy!

The stamps are from the Stampin Up Butterfly Gala set. I have had it for months but just inked it up for the first time tonight. I added some Wink of Stella to the butterflies. They are so sparkly in person.

Perennial Birthday

Today I created this card for the toppings challenge at Seize the Birthday to Cover the Card.

I had a great time using lots of images in the Stampin Up Perennial Birthday set to make the background.

The colors I used to make this card are Gorgeous Grape, Flirty Flamingo, Grapefruit Grove, Old Olive and Sahara Sand. I finished the card off with a few rhinestones.
