Hello!
I have a new blog series I’m starting called Color Focus. I’m borrowing an idea that I’ve seen other demonstrators do and putting my own spin on it. I’ve made some great pinnable images that I hope will get saved and shared 🙂 On Wednesdays, I plan to share the color itself along with a monochromatic card and then on Fridays share a few more cards using the featured color mixed with other colors. I hope you’ll join me on this color adventure!
I am going in alphabetical order which means Balmy Blue kicks things off! Balmy Blue is in Stampin’ Up!’s Subtles color family.Â
I made this swatch showing off the Balmy Blue products I own which include the Stampin’ Up! ink pad, cardstock, Stampin’ Blends, Marker and pencil from the Watercolor Pencils 2 set. I also demonstrated how the color appears differently when watercoloring with different brushes/pens using the pencil and ink.Â

Lastly here is a monochromatic card using Balmy Blue, Pacific Point and Night of Navy. Come back on Friday to see how this color looks with some of the other color families in the Stampin’ Up! rainbow!
I had fun making this card. I wasn’t sure which stamp set I would use to make the card and decided on the Whale Done set since I used it in my graphic. Then I decided to combine it with Waves of Inspiration which I hadn’t inked up yet. The whale was stamped full strength and the wave was stamped off in the Balmy Blue. I added in some Night of Navy with the birds and fish and stamped the sentiment in Pacific Point.Â

I hope you enjoyed this post!Â
