We have another Santa stamp for Day 2!
This Santa is from Stampin’ Up’s Get Your Santa On photopolymer stamp set from last year’s holiday catalog. This is his first time getting inked up. I used the new sketch at Cas(e) This Sketch. To add some interest to the bottom of the card I stamped a border from the SU Dotty Angles stamp set.
I rarely color on anything than a white cardstock. Today I decided to ink Santa up on Crumb Cake cardstock and color him with my Prismacolor pencils. I think I still prefer my copics but this was fun to try too. The edge of the cardstock was cut with one of MFT’s Stitched Basic Edges.
Here is the sketch I used~
Supplies~ Stampin’ Up! unless otherwise noted
Stamps: Get Your Santa On (retired), Dotty Angles
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
CS: Old Olive, Crumb Cake
Other: MFT Stitched Basic Edges, Prismacolor pencils, Gold Wink of Stella (not showing up well…on the belt buckle and the dots between the words)

Kristie, I am really going to enjoy all your Christmas cards this month. this one is fantastic. I love how you colored your Santa….he looks awesome. And that tone on tone stamping is the perfect balance.

Love this card! Super cute. This set is one of my favourites. I also like the use of some non traditional colours on your card.
Thank you for inspiring me. Hope you’ll come and check out my blog, too.
