Howdy…no MFT Monday today, I took the day off because I wasn’t feeling that great, so no crafting happening here.

I do have a card to share though! This is the 2nd one I made last night. I already linked it up to the challenges through SCS but still wanted to post it on the blog since I really like how it turned out.

I used the sketch from TechnoStamper Monday Lunchtime Sketch and the color challenge at Color Throwdown, both a bit different and very intriguing together!

Card 5- June 2014 SU Dozen Thoughts Gorgeous Grunge-002

I started with a Bravo Burgundy card base and embossed it incorrectly with the Stylish Stripes folder.  I didn’t realize I put it in backwards or upside down and the two outer stripes embossed instead of the one that is in the middle of the two lol. Oops!  I have very little retired cardstock left in some colors so went with it as is.  I rounded the corners and stamped the Pretty in Pink layer with one of the stamps from Gorgeous Grunge using Blushing Bride ink to add some contrast (and since I don’t have the matching ink).  The sentiment is from A Dozen Thoughts and was stamped in Melon Mambo.  I finished off the card with butterflies in Melon Mambo and Bravo Burgundy and added a few rhinestones to dazzle them up.

Here is the sketch~
