What a day here…we woke up to sleet & ice. My poor flowers which finally bloomed over the weekend were flopped over this morning 🙁
Tonight’s card wasn’t an easy one to make. Sympathy cards never are but when it’s going to a male, I find it even harder. I found a few challenges to help me make it – the embossing challenge at Sweet Stamps and the sketch at Atlantic Hearts.
I went to my go-to Stampin’ Up! supplies, the square lattice embossing folder and Simply Sketched hostess stamp set. The color combination I used is Baja Breeze, So Saffron and Sahara Sand. It was a color challenge from SCS last week. I thought it was a nice, subtle palette for a sympathy card.
Here is the sketch~
Thanks for visiting!

Kristie that is almost my go to sketch for sympathy cards, and especially when it has to go to a male!! Lovely card, I love that texture you have going there.

A very nice card for a very difficult situation (sympathy + masculine!) You did a wonderful job with both! Colors are perfect for this, I think! Thanks for sharing!

Sympathy cards always seem to be the hardest to make. I’ve tried keeping extra’s on hand, but it goes against my personalization aspect of a handstamped card.

Sympathy cards are the hardest for me as well. Your lovely card will surely bring your friend comfort in his time of need. Thanks for sharing this beautiful design with us at SweetStamps.com this week. ~Donna K

Very nice card, I try to make my sympathy cards when they are not needed, seems to make it easier than when I really need one. You did a great job keeping it simple and your right masculine is hard regardless of what kind of card it is! Thanks for playing along at AHSC!
