Tonight’s card is for the One Layer Christmas Card Challenge with the optional twist of candles.

I stamped the candle on the cardstock and then stamped it again on masking paper. Once I applied the mask, I sponged Fossilized Amber distress ink around part of the image. This took me forever to get right lol…first I couldn’t find my ink blending refills so I tried a sponge dauber, that did NOT go well. After the 2nd attempt, I found a different sponge and that thankfully worked! I was debating adding Glossy Accents to it but didn’t want to wait for it to dry. ¬†Should I add it to give the card a little more dimension? Hmm….

2015 Card 78 - Flourishes Christmas Candles (1)

I am quite pleased that it looks like the idea I have had in my head for several days. ¬†Now to go clean up my mess and hopefully start another card but since this one took so long, it’s not looking promising lol.
