Hi! I have been a very busy stamper. Lots of occasions that I needed to make cards for, mostly birthday, my favorite!
Today though I will share the card I made for my stepdad for Father’s Day. I had a different plan in mind but couldn’t find the paper I wanted to use, always the way! Plan B worked out better I think!
I inked up the boat image from the retired SU Moon Lake set on watercolor paper and watercolored it using Stampin’ Up! inks. I smooshed each color (listed below) onto an acrylic block and then picked up the color using a waterbrush. I really like how it turned out. I was able to add variations of color, especially on the boat. I waited for it to dry and then added more color to just some of the boards. The image was cut out with a Stitched Rectangle Stax from MFT.
I used the sketch at ShowCASe Your Style for the card layout. Added a few strips of retired SU designer paper in Lost Lagoon and a few candy dots for embellishment. The sentiment is from the SU Crazy About You stamp set.
I don’t need to make any cards for a few days, so I plan to clean up my mess from my marathon card making session that started Friday night and ended this morning.
What a mess!
