When I saw this stamp set from Sugar Pea Designs, I just had to have it! 1) It’s SO fun to say LOL and 2) I have a lot of sushi loving family and friends that it’s perfect for (I don’t eat it though!)

 

Last night I made this card for my BIL’s birthday and incorporated the current sketch at Sugar Pea Designs, as well as the Birthday challenge at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge, and the masculine challenge at Little Red Wagon.

 

Card 1 - SPD Rice, Rice Baby Mike Bday

 

 

I had so much fun color and paper piecing this little guy 🙂  The papers are from the Studio Calico Abroad 6×6 paper pad. I had this wacky idea the other day to start using some of my stamps in abc order and then thought it was a good idea to pull out all my paper pads that started with A&B.  Worked out well since I had no idea what papers to use with this stamp and this was the first pad in my basket! I masked part of the sentiment off and stamped the first half on the front and then masked it again and stamped the second half inside the card.
