I finally got my April calendars finished…I was so gung ho about this project at the beginning of the year and I’m already falling behind with keeping up. I did make 2 for March but never got around to making one for myself.
Here are the three I made tonight ~ all using MFT’s LJD Easter Bunny stamp set. I had other plans in mind but this little bunny kept calling out to me 🙂 The eggs were cut using the coordinating dienamics and I drew the designs on with a Uniball white signo pen. Sorry for the lousy pictures – took them with my phone and my room doesn’t have good lighting where I took it…need to start getting the camera out again!
and here is my March Round Up!
Books read ~ much better than February since I finished a few books that I had started that month.
#8 – Peach Pies and Alibis by Ellery Adams (#2 in A Charmed Pie Shoppe series) – ebook
I ended this so much more than the first book. More details were revealed regarding Ella Mae and her power and it was fun to read. I usually do not do ‘magic’ books but this reminds me of some of my favorite reruns I used to watch of Bewitched and I Dream of Jeannie. I already have the third book on my Kindle.
#9 – Red Velvet Cupcake Murder by Joanne Fluke (#16 in the Hannah Swensen series) – hardcover
Great book…I think there finally may be an end in sight to the love triangle. I’m still undecided as to who I’d rather see Hannah with and I’ve also wondered if the series would come to an end once that quandary is over. I asked my book group and they seem to think not. I was happy to hear that since this is one of my favorite series.
#10 -Steeped in Evil by Laura Childs (#15 in the Tea Shop series) – ebook
Another one of my favorite series. It was fun to catch up with Theodosia and the gang. The story was fun and I wish it didn’t end when it did. Several new characters were introduced and I’m hoping one of them (Jordan Knight) will stick around. He seemed like a nice guy who was caught in a bad situation. There were several comical scenes in the book that had me laughing out loud.
#11 – The Surfing Lesson by Elin Hildebrand (short story with characters from Beautiful Day) – ebook
To break up my stretch of cozy mysteries, I read this short story. It ended when it was getting good! I’m anxious to read Beautiful Day now to see if the issues in the book get resolved.
#12 – Lost and Fondue by Avery Aames (#2 in the Cheese Shop series) – paperback
I like this series but the books seem to drag for me…it won’t keep me from reading them since I have the next few in paperback already. I enjoyed the characters but the ‘mystery’ went on a little too long.
Well I had super HIGH hopes and fell flat lol…the cold winter kept stretching on and I wasn’t particularly motivated to scrapbook. I completed 11 cards and 4 layouts (2 single pages and 1 double page spread) with a total of 10 pictures scrapped. I signed up for an online class and viewed several lessons but didn’t end up creating anything for it. This month will be better!! (I hope…)
I’m sharing this goal list to try and stay on task with projects I want to complete, I’ll recap at the end of the month how I did.
- February monthly PL pages
- Red Sox trophies pages (1 single and a double page spread)
- single Valentine page to fill in February
- March monthly PL pages
- Lesson 1 for Clean & Simple 3 class
- Blog every day
That’s all for now!
