TGIF!
It’s been a busy day here…I took the day off so I could have a 4 day weekend. I had big plans to craft at least part of the day but I spent my time doing some much needed cleaning around the house. I’ve felt so behind since returning from Disney a few weeks ago but now parts of the house are starting to look much better. I still have 3 days to work and play in the house.
I’m sharing my cards here that I made for last Saturday’s World Card Making Day. I posted them to my facebook page but never got around to blogging them. Both cards feature Jillibean Soup papers and sketches they issued for WCMD.
I really LOVE how this first one turned out! Even though it has minimal stamping, I consider it more of a “scrappy style” card. The papers I used are from the Country Pumpkin Chowder 6×6 pad.
Here is the sketch for the first card ~
How cute are these penguins?! I don’t think I own any Jillibean Soup stamps so I just tried to use as much paper as I could and incorporate little embellishments from my stash. Hello old eyelets! These adorable papers are from the Christmas Eve Chowder 6×6 pad.
And here is the second sketch~
Thanks for looking!

Both cards are great. I like the funky trees on the first. The penguins on the second are adorable!

These are sweet. Great sketches. Love the penguins. You’ve given me great ideas re: how to use my Jillibean scraps.
