Happy Father’s Day!

Good morning!

Today I am sharing the Father’s Day card I made for my stepdad.  I was going to wait until this morning to put it together, but wisely thought yesterday afternoon was a better time. I bought a pegboard card template in the Silhouette store and the pegboard part took a long time to cut out, and then it took me awhile to distress the kraft parts and piece the tools together.  I absolutely love how it came out though and know my stepdad will love it too!

Card 10-June 2014 Pat Fathers Day

The frame and pegboard are popped up with dimensionals. I found these cool screw brads in my stash and thought they were a nice addition to the tool themed card.  I originally bought them for our house scrapbook that hasn’t been started lol…and next month will be 5 years since we bought it!

I’d like to enter my card in these challenges:

The Pink Elephant #254 – Father’s Day/Masculine

Papertake Weekly – For the Boys

Tuesday Throwdown #199 – Special Man

Selfie on the Speedway

I had high hopes of having time to craft today but that didn’t happen so I’m sharing the one of the pages I made last weekend during my scrappy frenzy.

I found this very cool tire track background in the Silhouette store and knew it would be perfect for these pictures I took of myself and of the Tomorrowland Speedway on our 2013 trip. The speed limit sign is also from the store.

Today I went to see The Fault in Our Stars with my friend, Courtney. We knew it would be sad going in based on other friends that have seen the movie, but we were still unprepared by how much we would cry and how awesome the movie would be.  I stopped at Barnes & Noble on the way home to buy the book so I can read it.  Usually I do it the other way around but it was kind of nice this time not knowing what would happen.

Hoping to have a crafty day tomorrow, stay tuned!

P.S.  I haven’t forgotten about my trip recaps, will hopefully get a few more prepared to post next week!

Sleepy Valentine

Happy Monday!

Today I’m sharing the 2nd layout I made on Saturday.  This one is for the ScrapMuch Sketchy Friday 4/25 challenge.

Page 3 - April2014 Sleepy Valentine

I am also using this layout for my yahoo group’s vellum challenge. I die cut the hearts on my Cameo and then embossed them with my SU Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder.  The title was cut with the Cameo as well…I need to get better about measuring my space first lol…title could have been a bit bigger. I was rushing before dinner though so didn’t bother to re-cut it.

Here is the sketch~

Thomas the Train Birthday Card

My adorable nephew turned 2 today!

He picked out Thomas the Train for his cake so I made a card to match.  I bought a train file from Miss Kate Cuttables and cut the body out, then punched a circle for his face. My mom bought him a Thomas the Train bubble maker so I used it as a guide to draw his face in. The card was a big hit at his party 🙂

Card 8 - Kaleb's 2nd Bday card

I used the sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches ~
