Happy Father’s Day!

Good morning!

Today I am sharing the Father’s Day card I made for my stepdad.  I was going to wait until this morning to put it together, but wisely thought yesterday afternoon was a better time. I bought a pegboard card template in the Silhouette store and the pegboard part took a long time to cut out, and then it took me awhile to distress the kraft parts and piece the tools together.  I absolutely love how it came out though and know my stepdad will love it too!

The frame and pegboard are popped up with dimensionals. I found these cool screw brads in my stash and thought they were a nice addition to the tool themed card.  I originally bought them for our house scrapbook that hasn’t been started lol…and next month will be 5 years since we bought it!

I’d like to enter my card in these challenges:

The Pink Elephant #254 – Father’s Day/Masculine

Papertake Weekly – For the Boys

Tuesday Throwdown #199 – Special Man

Going Grey with Scrap Creations – Father’s Day

Penny’s Paper Crafty Challenge #181 – Anything Goes

Selfie on the Speedway

I had high hopes of having time to craft today but that didn’t happen so I’m sharing the one of the pages I made last weekend during my scrappy frenzy.

I found this very cool tire track background in the Silhouette store and knew it would be perfect for these pictures I took of myself and of the Tomorrowland Speedway on our 2013 trip. The speed limit sign is also from the store.

Today I went to see The Fault in Our Stars with my friend, Courtney. We knew it would be sad going in based on other friends that have seen the movie, but we were still unprepared by how much we would cry and how awesome the movie would be.  I stopped at Barnes & Noble on the way home to buy the book so I can read it.  Usually I do it the other way around but it was kind of nice this time not knowing what would happen.

Hoping to have a crafty day tomorrow, stay tuned!

P.S.  I haven’t forgotten about my trip recaps, will hopefully get a few more prepared to post next week!

This is Our Happy Place {a Disney layout}

I’m back with the finished layout that I showed a peek of yesterday! I think it’s one of my favorite Disney pages I’ve made so far.

I saw THIS phrase in the Silhouette store and even though it’s meant to be cut as vinyl, I saw a page title and broke it apart to make it fit on my page. For the layout itself, I used the current sketch at My Scraps & More Sketches. This is also my 2nd entry for the Bokeh challenge in my yahoo group.

(sorry for the crappy picture…used my cell phone to take it!)

Here is the sketch~

I’m going to attempt at least one more page before making a card. First though, it’s time to check on the laundry!

Rapunzel {a Disney layout}

Well here we are with the 2nd day of my 3 day weekend almost over. Yesterday was a huge bust because of my allergies but I think I am on the upswing now. Hopefully I can breathe out of my nose tomorrow!

In between cleaning and mounds of laundry, I was able to get one page done and another started.

This is for a bokeh challenge in one of my yahoo groups. I won the sketch challenge last month and used my winnings to buy the Echo Park Capture Life collection and some of the Basic Grey Herbs & Honey collection.

I kept this really simple since I didn’t want to cover the paper up. I am soooo proud of myself for making the title with my Cameo! I used a font from the Silhouette store and I welded a swirl to it to mimic Rapunzel’s hair. It was my first time customizing something.

I added a bunch of Prima flowers and gems (all Princesses need their bling!) to finish off the page.

Here’s a sneak peek of my next page 🙂
