DHS ’13 {a Disney layout}

Happy June!!

My month is off to a rockin’ start, I won the my yahoo group’s challenge for May!!! Woohoooo!!!  I am getting a gift certificate to my favorite online store, A Cherry on Top.

Today I’m sharing another layout I made yesterday. This one is for the sketch at My Scraps & More and it was also for my group’s punch/die trio challenge (I used 3 dies on the page).

I had no clue what papers to use for this page so I started looking through a bag of scrap supplies (yep, too lazy to put stuff away LOL) and I pull out this background paper from the Basic Grey Persimmon line (it has blue lines in between the yellow ones…sorry for the poor picture!) I was planning to put the single strips down the side like the sketch but then I found the Simple Stories Say Cheese line and this cool border was part of one of the papers. To embellish the page, I added gold stars, the silver camera and the grey border using dies from MFT.

Oh and if you look closely at the top picture, doesn’t Mike look like he is wearing the hat?? LOL!  I didn’t notice it but someone in my Disney group pointed it out. Too funny!

Here is the sketch~

Thanks for visiting today!  The Bachelorette is having a special episode tonight, should be interesting. I need to work on my June calendar pages while it’s on…kinda forgot about them with all the scrapping I have been doing!

Russell {a Disney layout}

I’m finally back!  I made 4 layouts today, it’s the most I’ve crafted in ages.  I’m sharing 2 pages tonight since the challenges end at midnight and then will share the others during the week.

Here’s a funny story…until right before our 2013 trip, we hadn’t seen the movie UP.  I know, shame on us! Anyways on our 2012 trip, we walked right by Russell wondering who the heck he was.  So after finally seeing the movie, we had to take our picture with him & Dug…except Dug was MIA that morning chasing squirrels.

I used one of the monthly sketches at Sketch-N-Scrap to make a layout of us with Russell~

I mixed two different Echo Park lines for this page. The background and yellow papers are from Walking on Sunshine and the orange paper is from the Capture Life collection. I added a bingo card from the Simple Stories Say Cheese line and lots of buttons to mimic Russell’s badges.

Disney Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop – Disney in the Details

Hello!  I totally forgot it was Wednesday lol 🙂

This week’s blog hop theme is Disney in the Details and I am sharing some detailed pictures of the Under the Sea ~ Journey of the Little Mermaid.  We were in Magic Kingdom shortly after the ride opened but used FastPass to ride it both times. When we took our trip in 2013, I made sure to actually walk through the queue to see all the details.

Just looking at these pictures makes me want to break out in song LOL!  I think I will need to watch the movie this weekend 🙂

Check out all the entries this week HERE!

Florida’s Eiffel Tower {a Disney layout}

Today I’m sharing another layout I made recently.  This one I was supposed to make in March for the 24 hour challenge in my yahoo group but I didn’t have time then.  I had to use Echo Park’s Getaway collection.  I fell in love with this collection when I saw the Eiffel Tower paper and wanted it to scrap Disney pictures.

The pictures are from our anniversary trip in 2013. I wanted to use the title Florida’s Eiffel Tower but didn’t leave myself a lot of space on the busy papers so I journaled it above the date 🙂  I used stickers, chipboard and a brad all from the same collection to embellish my layout.
