Happy Easter!

Happy Easter to those celebrating today! We had a great day here and it’s time to share my Easter cards.  Instead of breaking up the posts, I am sharing all 3 cards in this post.

The first card was made for my nephew using Lawnscaping’s current Sweets challenge.

Lawnscaping Sweets challenge

I used Lawn Fawn’s Eggstra Special Easter stamp set with their coordinating dies. I also used the Grassy border die and the Stitched Journal card.  Images were colored with copics and I added some decoration to the Easter eggs with my Signo white pen.

Next up is the card I made for my niece using the current SFYTT at Reverse Confetti~

I used the Hippity Hoppity stamp set and the Thanks Tag Confetti dies. The bunny was colored with Copics.

2016 Card 41 - Madelyn Reverse Confetti Hippity Hoppity

And last I have the card I made today for my parents using the March Farm Fresh Challenge – Animals Rule at The Greeting Farm.  I used the Eggstra Special stamp set. The images were colored with Copics.

I also made my parents little Easter baskets using the Stampin Up’ Berry Basket die. They were a lot of fun to put together! I embossed the sides of the blue basket with the zig zag embossing folder. I put the purple one together first and totally forgot to do that extra step. It adds a lot of interest.

Hatter Joni for January Farm Fresh Challenge

Well hello! I fell off the blogging wagon again…there just aren’t enough hours in my day to do it all.

I made this card last Thursday night for January’s Farm Fresh Anything Goes Challenge at the Greeting Farm and my personal Matchup challenge.  This particular day I had to “match up” The Greeting Farm with Bo Bunny papers and a twist of border dies.

Instead of pulling a random stamp from my TGF basket, I decided to ink up a stamp from my new Hatters kit. These little people are so cute with their hats!

2016 Card 6 - TGF Joni Hatter

I colored Hatter Joni with copics and then cut her out with my Scan N Cut. I held my breath a bit watching my hard work get cut…usually I just stamp my image and cut before coloring in case things go wonky.  My papers are Bo Bunny Ad Lib and I used MFT’s Jumbo Squiggle border die. I didn’t want to just use a single border across my card so I cut two of them and mounted them on the image panel. I added a die cut circle and then stamped a sentiment from the kit.  A few rhinestones were added here and there to finish the card.

Thanks for stopping by! I hope to get back to card making again this week and have more to share.

Christmas in July 2015 – Day 12

Good morning!

Last night as I was thinking about Day 12’s card, I remembered that The Greeting Farm’s Farm Fresh Challenge was Red, White & Blue.  How could I use that with a Christmas card?  I went through my TGF stamps and pulled out Xmas Sweeties which had never been used.  Then I decided to make a background with distress inks using a snowfall background.  I pulled everything out and left it on my desk for this morning.

2015 Card 68 - TGF Xmas Sweeties

I stamped the MFT Snowfall background onto MFT Sweet Tooth cardstock with Sweet Tooth pigment ink.  Then I added Stampin’ Up! white embossing powder and heat embossed it.  I blended Tim Holtz distress inks with Tumbled Glass, Salty Ocean and Faded Jeans. I am usually not one to get messy with crafting but this was pretty fun 🙂  and it came out how I pictured in my head.

I then stamped the Santa image onto Copic Xpress it cardstock and colored him in with copics. Then I added white Fun Flock, remember that stuff?  I still have it in a few colors.  I stamped one of the sentiments from the stamp set in Sweet Tooth pigment ink and added powder to heat emboss it as well.  I finished the card off with a few enamel dots.

Thanks for stopping by! We are off to a food truck festival shortly and the LSS since it’s down the road from it!

Spotty Dotty Twirl Anya

I ended up having a half day because of the snow…should have taken the day off but I wasn’t that smart LOL. It honestly didn’t look too bad when I left this morning.  We are expecting more snow tonight but I’m hoping it will be cleaned up in the morning. Yes, I want to go to work! Then it’s a 3 day weekend where I can get crafty every day!

I was initially going to work on cutting Cameo files but I didn’t have the laptop upstairs with me.  I decided to work on stuff that I had on my desk.  I colored the image during my last snow day and left the same paper pack out.  Today’s Deconstructed Sketch and the Spots & Dots challenge at Creative Knockouts went together well with my image!

Can you tell I am dreaming of warmer weather with these brighter colors? I think late next week its supposed to warm up, can’t wait!
