Howdy! This turned into a mini novel…feel free to just scroll down and see the card!
I’m down to two cards from Saturday’s crop to share. Tonight’s card and tomorrow’s, hopefully I will find the motivation to craft over the weekend. I’ve come to terms with the fact I am not an everyday crafter or blogger right now. I sooo want to be but working full time, keeping house, spending time with my husband take up more time right now. Not to mention winter was looooong and I am so looking forward to getting out of the house once it gets warmer. As some of you may have noticed, I never published my “Intentions” for this month, in December I typed up 6 months worth and really hoped having some plans made that I would be more productive. Month 1 went well…Month 2 not so good. I’m taking the pressure off myself with my crafting goals. I may craft a ton one weekend and then none the next, or spend every night in my craft room or not. We’ll see! I’ve done exceptionally well in other areas (like my house/reading goals) and don’t feel the need to keep score for myself anymore.
Ok back to my card since that’s likely why you are here!
I pulled out my Reverse Confetti stamps and dies for this card. I used the Petals ‘n Posies stamps and dies for the first time. I really loved how nicely the stamps inked up! I mounted the petals and leaves on a circle and a scallop die from the Circles n Scallops set. I didn’t think I “needed” that set but I like the layering options in it, so it was a good purchase! All of the cardstock and patterned paper are from the same card kit I’ve used on the previous cards this week. The pink ribbon was from the kit too…what a bugger that ribbon is! I tried and failed in tying a bow lol, so I knotted it since it was already glued down and I had to make it work somehow!
The layout is from last week’s Deconstructed Sketch~

Great card Kristie – love how the designs in the background paper echoes the designs in the other papers.

Looks awesome, I love the patterns and colors in the papers. I think the bow/knot is great and different than just a bow like we all usually use.

Great card! I like the fun colors! Sometimes we just have to put our expectations, lists and goals aside and just live, just be!! No pressure on yourself is a good thing!! 🙂
