Now that half a year has gone by…it’s time to check in with some of the goals I made in the beginning of the year!
For June I read these two books~
Oak & Dagger by Dorothy St. James – This is the third book in the White House Gardner series. The mystery dragged on a bit I think but I really enjoyed the conclusion and more importantly, enjoyed the growth of the main character Casey. I’m excited to see where this series goes!
Always the Baker, Finally the Bride by Sandra Bricker – This is the fourth book in the Emma Rae Creations series and I’m wondering if it’s the last now that Emma had her happy ending? I hope not but I’m not sure where they would take the story from here. This book had it’s funny and super sweet moments. I even teared up a few times towards the end!!
Overall, I am not doing too well with my goal of reading 65 books. I am only about a third of the way there (22 books) and I am not quite sure I can make my goal by year’s end. I could re-evaluate and lessen the number of books but I am going to still try and come as close to 65 as I can.
I am doing MUCH better than I anticipated in this area! I did give up the weekly challenges toward the beginning of the year but I think I’ve finally hit my stride in regards to creating. I am very close to meeting half of my goal for layouts. After this weekend’s crop, I am up to 41 pages scrapped – only 59 to go and I think I can do it! On those 41 pages, I’ve scrapped 102 photos. My focus is doing more multi-page or multi-photo layouts since I have years worth of photos to get done. On the card front, I’ve made 61 cards out of my 100 card goal. I can easily make that once I start getting some Christmas cards made!
I have also met my goal of getting my pages into albums and getting pages made for various albums that I have started. I’m quite impressed with myself!
Question for the day:
Did you make any goals for this year? If so, how are you doing with them?
