Easter Greetings

Or we can call this post ” Late for Dinner” lol

I am famous for making cards at the last minute but usually it doesn’t make us late…tonight we were 15 minutes late to Easter dinner at my Mom’s. Good thing we only had to walk up the street!

I used this pretty calla lily stamp for the first time. I bought it from Taylored Expressions a year or two ago. Since it’s a bit large, I went with a square card and the sketch at Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 was perfect for it. I really wanted to add Diamond Glaze to the vase but I didn’t want to carry a wet card to my Mom lol

Here is the sketch~

I would also like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Going Grey with Scrap Creations – Easter
Papertake Weekly – Easter
Sister Act Card Challenge – Anything Goes

It’s time for dessert so I have to go! I’ll be back tomorrow with my nephew’s Easter card (which I still need to make lol!!)

Stamps: Taylored Expressions Calla Lily Bouquet
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
CS: Papertrey Ink Stampers Select, Copic Xpress It
PP: Echo Park Victoria Gardens

Do Si Do Anya

This afternoon I created a card for several challenges including my own “Stamp My Stash”.  I forget what # I am on now but I’m happy to still be using stamps that haven’t seen ink yet!

Card 6 - Do Si Do Anya

I stamped Do Si Do Anya on Copic Xpress It paper and colored her with copics. I then stamped her on Basic Grey Archaic patterned paper and paper pieced her bow and dress. I also shade those pieces to add some depth. I picked the paper out of my “old” basket to use.  I would usually use this for masculine stuff but I think I made it work for a girly card! I added some stickles to the flower centers to keep the card flat for mailing.

Here are the challenges I am entering~

Tuesday Morning Sketches #231

TMS #190

Just Us Girls #223 – Technique: Paper Piecing

JUGS 223

Sweet Stampin – Girly but no pink

I’m off to finish up laundry and get ready for dinner at my parents.  Then I hope to get another card done later tonight.

Cuddle Me Sophia {SMS #4}

Reviving the Stamp My Stash series with Cuddle Me Sophia.  I’ve had this cute little girl for several years and she finally got inked up tonight.

I used Paper Pretties Pink & Brown challenge and Simon Says Stamp sketch challenge (p.s. I tried to share the sketch below but I kept getting error messages) to guide me in making this card. I used an old favorite technique – paper piecing on Sophia’s dress using MME Hazel papers.

Today was a fun day. We went on a lunch date to Red Robin and went shopping. We picked out our first piece for a Christmas village that we decided to start. I’ll share a picture once we set it up over the weekend 🙂

Thanks for looking!

It’s almost tomorrow but I still managed to get a card done for a few challenges while watching the Red Sox beat the Yankees.

I knew when I saw the Nautical challenge at The Pink Elephant that I had to participate. I have had this Sailor Tilda for several years and she had yet to be inked up! I am also entering this card in the Anything Goes challenge at Tuesday Throwdown.
