March Monthly Pages

Last post for today ūüôā

I finished up my March pages and only have April/May to catch up on now!

Here is the whole spread ~since we had Amber’s birthday and my nephew’s birthday, I went with a family theme with the filler cards.

March 2014 PL Pages

A close up of the left page~ the top right picture say “This is how we spend many Saturday nights”. It’s a picture of Amber, my nephew and stepdad. ¬†On this page, I used two cards from the Project Life Dogs mini kit and one card from a SN@P pack.

March 2014 PL Left (1)

And the right page ~ the small pic on the top is our daffodils starting to come up…finally lol! It took an extra 2-3 weeks to come up and the next week they froze and had snow on them. I used two cards from SN@P packs and the large journal card is from the Project Life Midnight kit.

Have a great night!

Revisiting Project Life

The year is almost half over…how scary is that?!

I did my January pages and part of February in February, then dropped this project like a hot potato lol.

I got hung up on how to include them in my annual album. At first I wanted to have the left side, then the traditional layouts, then the right side so everything would be chronological.¬† I decided it would look silly with the pages apart, plus I switched after the cover page to the 8×12 pages.

I finally decided to put the PL pages in the front of the album and the traditional layouts behind them. Now that I decided how to work it out in my mind, I can continue with my pages.

Here is my completed February spread~

February 2014 PL Pages

I used Design Page G and a mixture of kits: Dear Lizzy Polka Dot Party and Honey, along with the flower card from a PL kit that I can’t remember the name of!

Hoping to get March done too…but realized I am low on one ink, figures right?

That’s all for now!

Project Life Revisited

Last year I did a few Project Life pages and then lost interest…doing weekly pages just didn’t work for me so I put my kit aside. ¬†Lots of people in one of my Yahoo groups have been doing them, either for a year or just starting out and I was intrigued again. My friend Barbara has been including summary cards of her weeks/month and it inspired me to do “highlight” pages for each month this year. I don’t need to record every detail but I do want to save some pictures that wouldn’t necessarily be scrapped otherwise and I really want to keep lists of my scrappy & reading accomplishments in my album this year.

Here is my 2014 cover page ~ Most of my pages are using the Midnight kit but there could be a card or two from the Seafoam kit…I wasn’t very careful when I was putting these together to write things down! I cut the Hello 2014 from THIS Silhouette file. ¬†Throughout all of the pages, I used Thickers and wood veneers from Studio Calico. Also to note this page is using the Design A page protector.

2014 Album Cover page

This is my January spread ~ The source for the Disney hotel picture is www.disneyworld.com. I couldn’t find any on the PhotoPass cds I have.

January Highlights Full Spread

Here is a a close up of the left side ~ I cut the January out of Authentique Glistening paper using THIS Silhouette file and the “this photo” from THIS freebie file from Kerri Bradford Studio.

and a closeup of the January calendar. The paper I used is so pretty but it’s hard to capture through the pocket!

January card close up

Here is a close up of the right side ~ I used the stamped panel from my January calendar in one of the pockets. I think I will do this with each month’s panel. I’m happy to find another use for them! ¬†The card with the scissors on it is from the Dear Lizzy Polka Dot Party kit. I also want to note this is the Design G page protector. I think I like this size the best so far and need to find more.

Thanks for looking!

Project Life Week 2

I finally sat down tonight to scrap Week 2 of Project Life! I’ve had the pictures printed for over a month now and ended up having to reprint one that went MIA. I am only sharing the left page as the right page is a bit more personal.

I used the Seafoam kit, a few stamps, letter stickers, washi tape and some hoarded embellishments to finish off my page. I hope now that I got over the hurdle of Week 2 that I can catch up on the last 8 weeks soon.
