TBB Asks ~ May Entertainment Edition

Something a little different from my usual craft posts. I saw this on another blog I read and thought it would be fun to play along. Check out the post here.

1. Comedy or Drama?

2. Fiction or Non-Fiction?

3. Movies in Theater or At Home?

Mostly At Home since I like to pause it for breaks, but certain movies are meant to be seen on the big screen. We recently watched The Greatest Showman at home. It was amazing, however I think it would have been spectacular to see on the big screen.

4. Musical or Play?

5. Which Meal of the day is your favorite to eat out?

Breakfast, we like to frequent our local diner.

6. Favorite Book ever read?

Daddy by Danielle Steel – it was my first adult fiction book. She is still my favorite author!

7. Game Night: Yes or No?

Yes, Monopoly is a favorite!

8. Favorite Outside Game to play?

9. Favorite TV Series ever?

10. Sitcoms growing up or Sitcoms of today?

Sitcoms growing up – so many great ones! Full House, Wonder Years, Family Matters, Growing Pains, Who’s the Boss? and many more.

11. Miniature Golf or Bowling?

Miniature Golf since it’s too hard to bowl with arthritis in my hands.

12. Favorite Movie Theater candy?

13. How do you like your popcorn?

Butter and salted

14. 3D movies with the glasses: Yes or No?

15. Favorite Genre of Books to Read?

Cozy mysteries. About 80% of my reading is cozy mysteries. The other 20% is general fiction for various book groups I am in.

Playtime ~ a layout for National Scrapbook Day

It’s National Scrapbook Day! I need to make my annual page to commemorate the holiday of the hobby that has brought me so much joy. I started scrapbooking memorabilia of my favorite singer, Celine Dion, in 2004. Then I moved on to vacations I took, then I met Mike and scrapbooked our adventures, along with pictures of my older sister’s little girls. While I have tons of my own pictures to scrapbook, my subjects these days are my younger sister’s children.

This is the first page of my youngest nephew who will be 9 months old in a few weeks. Yes, I am way behind. My last page was August 2017, just a few weeks before he was born and it was about his older sister.

For this page, I went back to my roots (sorta – since there weren’t collection packs back then) but I didn’t use any challenge or sketch. I just sat down with the Bella Blvd Tiny Tots collection and went to work making a page. Sometimes it’s good to remind myself that I don’t need a sketch or challenge/incentive/prize to do what I love.

Have a great night!

MFT Up in the Air

Hello for the 3rd time today. I hope you all aren’t sick of me yet lol. I spent most of the weekend home and was off work today, so I have had way more craft time than usual.

Tonight’s card is for an MFT card swap and for the MFT sketch that ends tomorrow at noon.

I had these images colored from one of the #100dayproject days earlier this month. It was nice having images ready to go instead of debating on what stamps to use, what colors to use, you get the idea! All I had to do was cut them out and decide how best to lay them out on my card front. Keeping the images, paper and stamp set together is key for a successful project. I was able to select a sentiment to add to the card once I had it glued down.

Here is the sketch~

Thanks for stopping by!

SU Sneak Peek – Love What You Do and Varied Vases

Hi again!

I finished this card a couple hours ago for a flower card swap and used the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches. I used the new Love What You Do and Varied Vases stamp sets again.

I am getting it linked just in time before the challenge ends. I ended up going for a walk with my Mom for a bit. It is such a beautiful day out. We have been waiting for months for this kind of weather!

I was going to leave the background plain but too much white space drives me crazy lol! So I used a stamp from the Love What You Do set to make a tone on tone polka dot background. The paper has some pearlized flowers and the doily is pearlized as well. I forgot to try and capture how pretty it is when I took photos earlier.

The flowers were watercolored with Rich Razzleberry and Blackberry Bliss inks using a blender pen. The sentiment and leaves from Varied Vases were stamped on Crumb Cake cardstock and cut out with the classic label punch and popped up with dimensionals.

Here is the sketch~
