In attempt to actually USE the pins I pin on Pinterest, we have started trying one new recipe every other week or so.
This is the first one we tried a few weeks ago:
I love Pepper Steak and had been getting it weekly at a deli near work but then they stopped carrying it…so Pinterest (and hubby) to the rescue to make me some! I did help a little bit by chopping up the peppers. This recipe made enough for us to have it two nights in a row.
Source: No Biggie
Ingredients~
2 round steak or sirloin steak cut into thin strips
1/4 cup vegetable oil
2 cups beef broth
1 teaspoon sugar
½ teaspoon ginger
2 teaspoons soy sauce
4 teaspoons cornstarch
4 tablespoons water
2 green peppers cut into stripes
4 tomatoes cut into wedges*
2 medium onions, sliced
*We did eliminate the tomatoes…only because they got left in the trunk and didn’t realize it until we went to make dinner.
Serve this over rice – we used Minute Rice since it’s quick and easy!
Please visit the original source HERE for the directions. I’m not good at explaining things especially since I don’t do much of the cooking (and there are copyright issues in sharing directions that others post).
This is definitely a recipe we will be making again!
