Monster Mash Valentine

Tonight’s card was a bit of a challenge lol…I was inspired by a card I saw this morning, and a challenge a friend shared with me, to use my Simon Says Stamp Monster Hugs stamp set. I knew the look I was going for but it was a bit difficult since I haven’t masked my images before. I will admit that I am a lazy stamper! After a few attempts, I finally got it how I wanted it.

This is the card I am entering in Tuesday Throwdown’s Monster Mash challenge~

2015 Card 17 - SSS Monster Hugs

We’ve established that I love stitched dies, right? I used my MFT Stitched Tag Stax for the first time tonight. I thought about adding a bow but it didn’t like it, so I added a silver heart brad from my stash. The little hearts are leftover from a card I made a few nights ago.

Have a great night!

Stamps: Simon Says Stamp Monster Hugs

Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Ranger Archival Jet Black

CS: MFT Steel Gray, Sweet Tooth, Red Hot

PP: Bo Bunny Crush

Other: MFT Stitched Tag Stax, SSS Monster Hugs dies (for masking), MFT Blueprints Tag Builder 3 (hearts), brad from stash, dimensionals, copics

Easy to Mail Valentine’s Card

Here is today’s creation. I challenged myself to use what was on my desk except for adding a new stamp set. I’ve had this Winnie & Walter set for a few months and since it had a valentine sentiment, it was sitting in my Valentine’s bin that I put together last week. Everything else is MFT!

2015 Card 16 - MFT Damask Winnie Walter Big Bold Happy

I started with a Red Hot card base and then stamped a Pink Lemonade panel with the Damask background in Steel Gray hybrid ink. I really love how it looks! I usually stick to tone-on-tone stamping with the backgrounds but want to experiment more with different color patterns. I then cut a Sweet Tooth rectangle with the Stitched Rectangle Stax and sponged Pink Lemonade dye ink over the Staggered Hearts stencil. Lastly I stamped the valentine’s day in Steel Gray hybrid ink and the happy with Red Hot dye ink. Oh and I added a few hearts that were left over from yesterday’s card!

Thanks for stopping by!

Supplies~ all MFT unless otherwise noted

Have a Heart…or Twenty

What a Monday! I think today’s snow/sleet storm was worse than last week’s “blizzard”.  No snow day for me this time either.  How many more days until spring??

Tonight I’m sharing the card I made for MFT’s weekly sketch challenge. I used a bunch of new things from last month’s release before tomorrow night’s February release! Something to look forward to tomorrow, wahoo!

2015 Card 15 - MFT Damask and Hearts

It turned out a little busy but it’s growing on me. I started with a Sweet Tooth card base and sponged it with Red Hot dye ink and Pink Lemonade dye ink using the Staggered Hearts stencil. I then stamped the Steel Gray square with the Damask background in Steel Gray hybrid ink.  I added a Pink Lemonade square and then I cut a Red Hot panel with the frame and hearts from the Blueprints Tag Builder 3 set. Lastly I added a Sweet Tooth flag stamped with a sentiment from the MPD Distressed Hearts stamp set and a Pink Lemonade heart stamped with the Damask background.

Here is the sketch~

Have a great night!

Valentine Card #3 – Thinking of You

Tonight I am sharing the last card I made on Friday night. I challenged myself to NO sketch this time.  I kept it pretty simple so I could mail it easily.

2015 Card 3 - TE Love Grows Here

I adore the little puppy on the bench! The image and sentiment are from Taylored Expressions Love Grows Here stamp set. The rectangle panels were cut with my MFT Stitched Rectangle Stax.

I haven’t crafted since Friday night. We had my sister and nephew over yesterday so I had to clean the house and today was laundry/take down the tree day. I’m hoping to get back in my room tomorrow night for a bit. The Bachelor starts again, woohoo!! Although I will probably watch it on Wednesdays since we don’t have any shows we watch together that night.

Thanks for stopping by!
