LOAD2 – Coolest Plane Ever
Today’s LOAD prompt was Plane and I immediately thought of these pictures. It was AWESOME to travel to Orlando in a Red Sox themed plane! I used the new Stuck?! Sketch for the page layout.
I used Echo Park’s Getaway collection with a couple of bits from the Grand Slam Mini Theme collection. I outlined the letters spelling plane with a Project Life pen to make them stand out a bit better.
Here is the sketch~
Have a great night!

A Spring Stroll through Disney World, Animal Kingdom Day 3
Hello!
Today I am recapping Day 3 of our April/May trip to Disney World! This was a super exciting day for me because I got to see my friend, Connie, again and I got to see the new Stampin’ Up! catalog that was unveiled to demos a few days before at a movie premiere.
We started off with breakfast at our hotel’s food court and then hopped the bus to Animal Kingdom for the Extra Magic Hour. Once inside, we raced towards Kilimanjaro Safaris.
We always like to ride this first since the animals are most active in the morning. After we got off the truck it was time for our Fast Pass for the Safari, so we got in that line and back on the truck again. We did see some different animals the second time around which was really fun. Here are a few collages from both rides:
We headed over to DinoLand U.S.A. for our fast pass at Dinosaur. I’m not a huge fan of this ride but I can tolerate it for Mike’s sake once in awhile LOL
Then we road Primeval Whirl…it’s a spinning coaster, NOT a fan of that ride and will not do it again! I needed some time to settle my stomach so we went on Triceratop Spin next, which is similar to Dumbo. Just my speed LOL! We got in line to meet Goofy & Pluto next but the line started getting quite long so we ducked (ha, ha) out to meet Donald Duck who was behind their area. There was no organization whatsoever so everyone was just standing around waiting when this cast member came along and drew Mickey with water. It was pretty cool!
Donald showed up and the line formed, but we decided not to wait since it was getting close to the time we were meeting Connie. I was able to snap a quick picture of Donald with my cell phone 🙂
We headed over to the Asia area of the park so Mike could ride Expedition Everest. I tried it on our first trip and won’t ride it again LOL!
While Mike was on the ride, I walked over to Flame Tree Barbeque to meet Connie. I ended up taking the scenic route LOL so it took a bit to find her. Thank goodness for cell phones! We found a table and she told me all about the premiere and showed me the catalog. Mike came and joined us for lunch which was delicious but scary! The birds around there are very aggressive and have no problems with trying to steal food. I didn’t like being “on guard” the whole time.
We had some time before our Finding Nemo Musical show, so we saw the Tough to be a Bug show and then walked the Pangani Forest Exploration Trail.
Then we walked the Maharajah Jungle Trek~
At some point during the day, Connie and I took this picture at the Tree of Life~
Connie joined us for a little while at the Finding Nemo show and then had to leave. It was so fun to walk around the park with her. Usually we only have time for a quick lunch or dinner.
After a long, hot day here we are as we leave the park~
We took the bus to Animal Kingdom Lodge to check it out before going to Downtown Disney. What a gorgeous resort! I fell in love with the lobby, so many details to look and a nice place just to hang out. It was pouring rain by this point so no animals were out in the viewing areas.
A peek at the resort exterior from a hallway window~
The next recap will be our dinner at Bongo’s and time spent at Downtown Disney!

A Spring Stroll through Disney World – Day 2, Hollywood Studios
Here we are at Hollywood Studios for the first of three visits we would make during the week.
We walked up Hollywood Boulevard to the Fast Pass kiosks to see if anything was available since we could now get extras. Unfortunately there wasn’t anything we wanted passes for so we went to The Great Movie Ride since it had no wait. We got to sit in the front seat. It was pretty cool!
The Gangster coming to take over! It was kind of weird to be seated next to him LOL!
One of my favorite parts, the Wizard of Oz!
The rain started coming down again fast and furious. We went over to Pixar Place to wait in line to meet Woody & Buzz Lightyear. The line is always long so I have never had a chance to meet Woody. It’s an indoor meet & greet so we got to stay drive for an hour!
It was still raining but we didn’t want to go back to the hotel yet. Mike went on Tower of Terror and Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster while I went shopping on Sunset Boulevard. I bought a new Alex & Ani bracelet with the castle charm and little stationery items for my mom & myself.
After this we called it quits since it was getting late! The next day we were going to Animal Kingdom!

A Spring Stroll through Disney World – Beaches & Cream dinner review
We arrived at The Beach Club just as it started to downpour, so glad we were able to avoid getting soaked! We looked up Beaches & Cream on the map in the lobby and went to look for it. We were early so we took our time looking around since we have only been there once before in 2012. We probably looked silly as we strolled the hallways wondering out loud where the restaurant was! We had no idea it was outside near the pool. The map made it look like it was in a hallway lol.
There was an arcade next to the restaurant so we went in there to hang out. I was happy to find Skeeball, I spent almost all of my $10 just on one machine. I haven’t played it in years! Mike had fun playing some driving games and then he tried the baseball game.
After we each spent our $10, we sat down at this adorable ice cream cone table and played on our phones. I’m so grateful that Disney has free wi-fi all over property! It helped in those moments where we had downtime and wanted to check email, social media, etc.
It’s small and a bit crowded inside. The woman behind Mike kept looking at me when I was trying to take picture of our meals & ice cream LOL. I had the Turkey BLT (minus the T lol) and Mike had a BBQ burger. Both meals are no longer on the menu. For dessert, I had the No Way Jose sundae and Mike had the Strawberry Shortcake. I think if we go here again, we would just go for dessert. It’s a lot of food in a short amount of time!
Thankfully by the time dinner was done, the boats were running again and the storms had subsided.
This is the Beach Club~
This is the Yacht Club. Funny story: I had to use the restroom and it was actually in The Yacht Club. I didn’t realize the two resorts were connected.
Here comes the Friendship Boat to take us to Hollywood Studios!
To be continued!
