75th Birthday

Hi again!

I’m back with another birthday card. This one was created for my mother-in-law who celebrated her 75th birthday on Friday.  I incorporated several challenges (listed below) in making this card.

I used several stamps from the Stampin Up Number of Years stamp set, even the flowers were from the set! Even though it’s technically not fall yet, I wanted the card to have a fall feel to it and I think I accomplished that with the color palette and burlap.

The sketch used is from Freshly Made Sketches~

and the color challenge at Pals Paper Arts~

also the N is for Numbers challenge at Alphabet Challenge

and the birthday challenge at 4 Crafty Chicks!

My MIL’s party was on Labor Day and I created tags for the favor bags.  A huge labor of love since I hand stamped 40 tags.  All the stamps used are from Lawn Fawn – Birthday Tags, Violet’s ABCs and Milo’s ABCs.

Sweet Cupcake

Hello!

Today I am sharing a card for a Happy Birthday Cupcake swap.  I used the sketch at Mojo Monday and color challenge at Nacho Average Challenges. I couldn’t pass up an opportunity to use Calypso Coral, one of my fave colors!

Using the MISTI made stamping this cupcake pretty easy! I had a little trouble with the bottom layer with the first colors I chose, a tip don’t go too dark or else you can’t see the layers. I think next time I might try stamping off with one color to make the layers blend a bit better.

Autumn Wishes

Hi!

Tonight I made a fall card using a cute little set from Stampin Up called A Flower for All Seasons. I love this little pot of sunflowers! I used the new sketch at The Challenge for my card layout.

2016 Card 88 - SU A Flower for All Seasons

Since the image is small, I added some interest with MFT’s Cross Stitched Circle Stax, some dry embossing and twine. The sentiment is from an old Pink by Design set called Bountiful Blessings.
