I love having a holiday dedicated to scrapbooking. It’s made such a difference in my life…I have friends all over the world and have a neat way of expressing myself artistically while saving my memories. I always get nostalgic on this day knowing how much my life has changed since starting this hobby. I got to document some big moments – our first trip out of town (where we took our first picture together), our first house, our wedding and so much more!
Today I’m sharing a new favorite layout that I created recently. It was for a sketch & memorabilia challenge. I’m sure the pictures look familiar from my blog post about our trip to Yankee Stadium a few weeks ago. My husband saved the tickets (per my request lol) and I knew they would look great on a page about our day.
We have a busy day ahead of us so no scrapping for me but I plan to try some NSD challenges next week since I know tons of sites are having them!
Thanks for stopping by today!

Well we’ve seen our teams play each other in Fenway Park so it’s only fair that we see them play in Yankee Stadium too! I have to say…I wasn’t overly impressed. It’s too big and impersonal. Fenway feels like home with its charm and character. We had awesome seats and really did enjoy the game. It was pretty close with the Yankees winning (boo!) by just one run.
I have to say I’m highly disappointed with Mickey!!
The traitor…Jacoby Ellsbury. So sad that he is playing for them but damn he is still good looking and still a fantastic player.
Big Papi!!! I was happy to get some good pictures of him for my scrapbook…was highly disappointed that Dustin Pedroia was out of the game though. He was on his way back to Boston to get his wrist examined. We were also both sad to miss Derek Jeter but I did get a couple of so-so shots of him in the dugout.
Mike Napoli got a solo home run for us. Yay! It wasn’t enough to help us win though since the Yankees scored after that.
Thanks for visiting!
Well it’s not even noon yet and I have a post for you, how about that! I am hoping to get in to my room earlier on the weekends since the lighting is fantastic early in the day. We’ll see how that goes LOL!
I am so very excited for tonight!! We are going to a Red Sox/Yankees game at Yankee Stadium!!! We’ve seen my team (the Red Sox) play at Fenway so it’s exciting for my husband to go see his team play at their new stadium. I’m just hoping my team does better than yesterday. Eek! I’m sure we’ll have fun regardless of whose team wins 🙂
To celebrate baseball day, I inked up my new Baseball Tilda for this card. I bought her at the end of December and planned on making a card for Opening Day and then completely forgot LOL! I picked out some papers last night and then this morning when checking challenges, I saw that Totally Tilda has a challenge called ‘Over the Garden Fence’ to use a fence stamp or die. I knew I had a fence die from MFT that I don’t think I’ve used yet and then I pulled out the clouds, tree and the icicle die that I used to make grass. I had so much fun building my card!
I’m definitely keeping this card for myself 🙂 Or I may pull Tilda off to put her in the scrapbook. I’ve got her popped up on dimensionals. To add a little more depth to the card, I put grass behind the fence and in front of it. I also inked the fence with Soft Suede ink. I also embossed the clouds with my SU Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder.
I would like to enter my card into the Anything Goes challenge at Sister Act Card Challenge.
Have a great day! I know I will!
