Snowballs and Pumpkins

Hello!

I’ve had a fun filled crafty day in between a little cleaning and laundry. I am still working on layouts for the online crop I am participating in.

This first one was for a sketch challenge that you can see HERE and we had to use snow pictures and/or snowflake embellishments. I used both! I knew I had this picture printed of my nephew and then today I went through my sister’s facebook to find a picture of the blizzard last year to include too.  The snowflakes were cut with my Silhouette. I took them from THIS file from Miss Kate’s Cuttables.

I made a 2 page layout for a challenge to use 3 of one thing and 8 of another. I used 3 colors for my pages and 8 buttons (4 on each side). I cut the pumpkins and the pumpkin title from THIS file.  The rest of the title was cut using a font on my computer.

I also made 2 of my 3 panels for March calendars. I’ll share once I get mine made later this week!

Thanks for visiting!

Disney layout: Love @ Hollywood Studios

Hi again!

I didn’t think I’d be back with another post but I saw the Sketch N Scrap sketch was still open for a few more hours so I got the page done that I wanted to do earlier in the week. Yep, another kissy face picture LOL!

When I saw the LOVE filmstrip in the Silhouette store, I knew it would be perfect for this pictures of us celebrating our 1st anniversary at Hollywood Studios.  I used my Basic Grey True Love again since it matched my shirt. The scalloped heart was cut with my Silhouette as well using the Scalloped Nested Heart file from Miss Kate Cuttables.

Here is the sketch~

Disney Layout: Pocahontas

Good morning!

I have another Disney layout to share today. This one was created for a sketch challenge on one of my groups. I really loved the element tying the pictures/journaling together. That was fun to do!

Weeks ago I pulled paper for this page and chose 12 different papers from the MME Indie Chic line. I managed to use 3 of them on this page along with a few pieces of chipboard from the same line.

Thanks for looking!

Disney Layout: That Duck

Good morning!

Today I’m sharing one of the layouts I made yesterday. It was inspired by a challenge on a Disney group to use certain photos and rope, canvas or burlap.  I chose these photos from Camp Minnie Mickey and burlap.

I cut the title and the safari hat with my Cameo. I learned how to offset things so that I could make a shadow around my title and I even got a little fancy and rotated one of the letters to define it a bit better. I am loving how easy the Cameo has been for me. I know I haven’t even scratched the surface of what it can do but the basics are much easier on this than the Cricut.  I used the Cricut tonight to cut things for another page and what a hassle it was!

The burlap ribbon is from Stampin’ Up.  I’m happy I finally found a use for it! I’m not sure what I was thinking when I ordered it since it’s so wide and so much comes on the roll.  I am really pleased with this page. No sketch and no patterned paper (the dotted paper is cardstock)…back to basics and it feels good.

Thanks for looking!
