Tulips in a Basket

Hello!

I needed to make a card for a Never Been Used Before stamp card swap. I chose Papertrey Ink’s Vintage Picnic and Vintage Picnic sentiments sets. I have had these sets for years and took them out for a basket swap but decided to make this card first.

I colored up the tulips and basket with my copics and matted the image.  I paired the image with Authentique’s Be{you}tiful papers.   The yellow paper and the banner were cut with MFT’s Blueprints 24.  I added a few Doodlebug glitter sprinkles, my current favorite embellishments.

I used the current sketch from Sketch Saturday.

Bitty Butterflies

Yes, I’m back with a mid-day post (thank you pre-scheduling!)

I made this card a few weeks ago for a butterfly swap and forgot to share it.  I used Papertrey Ink’s new Bitty Butterflies cover die and coordinating stamp set.  I popped up a few of the butterflies.  The colors were from one of PTI’s anniversary challenges – Stormy Sea, Aqua Mist, Smokey Shadow, Mint Julep (I subbed SU Pistachio Pudding) and Tropical Teal.

Papertrey July Blog Hop Challenge

PTI Blog Hop banner

Hello!  I have been so engrossed with my Christmas in July card series that it slipped my mind about the PTI blog hop. I’m glad I was able to make a card for it tonight!

Here is the inspiration photo. I loved the butterflies, purple and the touches of gold, so that’s what I incorporated in my card.

I used the Beautiful Butterflies stamp set, Beautiful Butterflies Layers stamp set and Vintage Cream, Gold & Winter Wisteria cardstock, all from PTI.

2015 Card 75 - Papertrey Ink Beautiful Butterflies

The gold layer was embossed with a Sizzix embossing folder from my stash.  The butterflies were stamped with SU inks in Wisteria Wonder, Perfect Plum and Elegant Eggplant.

I am off to visit a few stops on the hop. Have a great night!

Papertrey June 2015 Blog Hop Challenge

Good morning!

It has been ages since I have entered in the monthly Papertrey Ink blog hop.  I checked the blog a few days ago and saw this neat picture and started dreaming up a card to enter.

I was inspired by the stripes and the orange flowers.  I really love those stripes and decided to make my own with watercolors.

2015 Card 50 - PTI Blog Hop Sentiment Splits Beautiful Blooms

I started with a piece of Tim Holtz Distress and watercolored it using my Dark Grey Zig Clean Color brush and Tim Holtz broad tip watercolor brush. It was cut out with one of the Basic Page planner dies.  I cut two flowers with Orange Zest cardstock and vellum using the Beautiful Bloom II #1 dies and adhered them together and finished them off with a True Black vintage button. After I assembled my layers, I stamped a sentiment from Sentiment Splits in Orange Zest and then added a flower cut from Ripe Avocado cardstock using one of the dies from Rosie Posie.

I am looking forward to checking out the other entries tonight! Have a great day and thanks for stopping by.
