Lawn Fawn Fairy

Super quick post! I have a last minute entry for the sketch at Mojo Monday ending in just minutes.

I needed a fairy card for a swap and used my new Lawn Fawn set along with their new Perfectly Plaid paper. She has some pretty glittery wings but it’s not showing up since it’s still wet.

Have a great night!

Love Ewe

I made this adorable Valentine’s card for my littlest niece this morning. It’s her first handmade card from Auntie!

2016 Card 23 - Avery Elle Hogs and Kisses

I used the new Mojo Monday sketch. I liked all the layers on it, great way to use several different patterned papers.  All of the paper is from Crate Paper Hello Love and the stamps are from Avery Elle’s Hogs & Kisses set.  The big heart is from Avery Elle’s Scalloped & Pierced hearts set and the smaller hearts are from a Lawn Fawn die.

I had a ton of stuff set aside for all the Valentine cards I would make this month…ha. I guess I can put it all away now! This was the only card I ended up making. Mike and my nephew got cards from a card class I took last month.  LOAD has kicked my butt this month and cardmaking has fallen by the wayside.

I’ll be back later with my LOAD layout. Still trying to figure out what to do!

Masculine Christmas Cards, Part 2

Good morning and Happy New Year’s Eve!! One of my favorite nights of the year. Junk food, games and Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin Eve on TV!

Here are the other two cards I made for my husband’s co-workers. These were created using Sketch #250 at Try Stampin or Not on Tuesday.

Here is the first one using the sketch as is – I realized after I started that my focal point was a little large. I didn’t want to start over so I just went with it.  I did change the paper for these two and used Yuletide by Pink Paislee.

Masculine Christmas Cards, Part 1

I volunteered to make my husband some Christmas cards for his co-workers. I had one night to make 5 cards which turned into one night and a morning because I just couldn’t finish it all.

Here is a set of 3 cards using the same sketch – the very last Sweet Sunday Sketch 🙁   I’m so sad this site has closed. I have always loved Karen’s sketches!

I started by stamping the trees from Lawn Fawn’s Let It Snow stamp set using my MISTI with MFT Jellybean Green hybrid ink and then I used my MISTI again to stamp the sentiment over the trees with MFT Hot Fudge hybrid ink. I think this is the first time I’ve really felt the MISTI was useful for me. I’ll have to use it for more layered stamping in the future.  I stamped 5 altogether and then cut them out using MFT Stitched Circle Stax.
