LOAD8 – New Toy

Today was a color prompt – red & white from the Canadian flag.

I came across these pictures from my stepdad’s birthday and I had the Carta Bella It’s a Celebration set aside to use with them. I added in a few pops of color with the balloons to keep it fun.

Page design is all mine. I am trying to challenge myself to not use a sketch once in awhile.

Fun fact: I have scrapped 33 photos this month and I am only 8 days into this challenge. Hoping to at least double that number by month’s end.

Thanks for stopping by!

Warming up for LOAD

I did a silly thing last week…I signed up for LOAD216. The goal is to make one layout a day. There are daily prompts but they don’t have to be used. I’m hoping to use some though since the theme is Around the World in 29 days and I have oodles of vacation pictures to scrapbook!

Today I made this layout of my nieces. I’ve had these pictures and papers set aside for a least a year and a half. I still have plenty of the paper left. Glad to have the pictures glued down to paper now.  I used a sketch from one of my scrappy groups, it was a fun one. I liked adding all the little bits down the right hand side.

Matchup with a Twist #3

I have two creations to share tonight! I had hoped to do more but spent time reading and doing other things.

First up is the card for my Matchup with a Twist – today is Technique Tuesday and Authentique with a twist of background stamps. I used a birthday background stamp from MFT Stamps.

2016 Card 3 - Technique Tuesday Amaryllis

I joined the Greenhouse Society stamp club from Technique Tuesday back in the fall, this is the October stamp – Amaryllis. So pretty!  I found several of these stamps during a summer visit to a store in Rhode Island and decided I had to join the club. The flowers are beautiful each and every month!

I used SCS543 for the card layout~

Project #2 is a layout! I’ve had this Authentique Gathering paper sitting out with this photo for over 2 years lol – since today’s paper company is Authentique, it was meant to be to finally scrapbook it!  This is my niece Emily.

I used Sketch #442 from Scrapbook Challenges.

Layout Share: Christmas Eve 2013

My first page of the year and it’s a Christmas one!

Since today’s paper matchup was American Crafts, I decided to use some 12×12 paper in my stash to create a layout. This is some old paper – the “collection” was The Goods – Stocking. I think this is from back in the day before matching embellishments existed. I had 4 sheets and I think I cut into every one of them lol. I’m hoping to use the big scraps for another page and any leftovers on cards.

This is my sister & nephew on Christmas Eve a few years ago.

I didn’t have any sketches picked out so I decided to check out an online class I signed up for months ago – Tried & True: Scrapbook Layouts.  Not sure I nailed the whole white space thing for the lesson but I tried!
