August 30 in 30 #1 – Lil Firecracker
Hello and Happy August!
A small group of friends is aiming for 30 projects in 30 days, not daily just at least 30 projects created by month’s end. I decided to join in since July was a bit of a letdown craft wise.
My first project is a layout using the new sketch from Creative Scrappers and a picture of my youngest niece. I have had a small pile of pictures sitting on my desk from last summer that I am hoping to get through this month, in addition to making cards.
I used one picture instead of the two shown on the sketch, most of my pile is single photos to scrapbook. I challenged myself to use some Doodlebug paper that has also been sitting around since last summer. I only had a border sticker sheet to go with them, so I pulled out a few old Creative Memories punches and some Doodlebug sprinkles to embellish my page.
I really need to work on both my niece’s and nephew’s scrapbooks since their little brother will be arriving later this month! I still haven’t scrapped their birth pictures. I tend to gravitate more towards the everyday pictures instead of the milestones. I need to change that soon!
Here is the sketch~
Have a great night!

Happy National Scrapbook Day!!!
A holiday near and dear to my heart for so many reasons. I began scrapbooking 13 years ago this month and while I don’t do it as often, it’s something I hope to always keep a part of me. I need to learn to make more time to do it!
This is my first page since last summer, for a challenge at A Cherry on Top. They have an NSD celebration going on with lots of interesting challenges.
All the items included were part of a recipe I had to follow. It made for an interesting page. I do like how it turned out although I felt quite rusty making it!
Have a great night!

Preschool Elmo card
Happy Tuesday!
I finally had time to blog so I pre-scheduled yesterday morning’s and today’s posts. My nephew started preschool at the end of August. I can’t believe he is old enough for school! Seems like yesterday he was a tiny 3 lb baby in the NICU.
He loves Elmo and went to Sesame Place this summer, so I made him an Elmo card to commemorate this milestone. I bought several Sesame Street cartridges on sale awhile back and the Seasons one had several school images. Lucky me!
I used some of my beloved Basic Grey stash on the card. These papers are from the Oxford 6×6 pad. I added a few SU enamel shapes as embellishment.
My nephew loved his card. I stopped to see him on his first day. I’m lucky that he lives close by and I can pop over there easily.
Have a great day!
Supplies~

Girly Scrapbook Pages
Last weekend I spent some time scrapbooking pictures of my niece, Madelyn. She is now 7 months old and I am finally getting pages done for her album.
The first one is for Sketch #207 at Sketches in Thyme~
This next one was made using the Week 1, Team B sketch at Let’s Get Sketchy (missed the deadline but still wanted to share!)
And this last one was my own design~
Isn’t she just so precious?! Hopefully there will be several more pages to share next month!
Thanks for stopping by!
