Happy Easter!

Happy Easter!

I made my last card for this Easter earlier today for my nephew.  The bunny is cut with felt, hopefully he will like that 🙂 He’s not feeling well so instead of him coming here, we may go see him later today to give him his Easter goodies.

Card 14 - April2014 MFT LJD Easter Bunny

Funny story…the little green “grass”  is actually the top for the carrot.  I had no idea until today!  I used it on the calendars I made earlier in the month and it just dawned on me when I cut the carrot die cut that I hadn’t see the top for it…duh, it’s there just not what I thought it was.  I had a much easier time this time lining up the stamps on the die cuts. I think having the natural light in my room helped a lot.

Here is the inside~

Easter Greetings

Or we can call this post ” Late for Dinner” lol

I am famous for making cards at the last minute but usually it doesn’t make us late…tonight we were 15 minutes late to Easter dinner at my Mom’s. Good thing we only had to walk up the street!

I used this pretty calla lily stamp for the first time. I bought it from Taylored Expressions a year or two ago. Since it’s a bit large, I went with a square card and the sketch at Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 was perfect for it. I really wanted to add Diamond Glaze to the vase but I didn’t want to carry a wet card to my Mom lol

I’m All Ears!

Hello!

I was able to get two of this sweetie pie colored up tonight but only one card finished. I got started way too late lol…was enjoying relaxing on the couch watching my baseball game. Go Sox!

This is my entry for the MFT Weekly Sketch Challenge~

Card 5 - April2014 Im All Ears 1

I spent a lot of time coloring her dress…haven’t practiced pleats in a very long time! I’m pleased with how she turned out. Always room for improvement but considering I haven’t colored much lately, not too shabby!  I paired her with MFT cardstock and some adorable Hello Spring Doodlebug Design paper.  I found it under my desk when I was cleaning the other day LOL.

I would also like to enter this card into the following challenges:

MarkerPop #40 – Spring

My Craft Spot #132 – Happy Easter

Happy Easter!

I hope all of you had a great day full of family and friends!  We spent some time with my cutie pie nephew early in the afternoon and then we went to my sister in law’s for dinner.  Tonight I’m sharing two Easter cards I made today – yes I waited til the last minute, I work better under pressure!

Here is the one I made for my nephew~

kalebeaster

I used my Cricut for the second time in a month and cut this adorable bunny.  I used my Big Shot for the first time to emboss the background and cut the grass borders. Full supply list at the end of this post.

Challenges entered~

Going Grey with Scrap Creations – Easter

4 Crafty Chicks #135 – Easter

And this one I made for my sister-in-law~

I used a new MFT stamp set that I’ve had for about a month. I just had to make sure she got inked up before Easter was over!  The rest of the card is very old stash.  I’m having fun digging through my treasures and getting stuff used up! Full supply list at the end of this post. The layout is from this week’s Sweet Sunday Sketch.
