Disney Layout: Animal Kingdom 2011

Hey, hey!  Happy weekend!!

I made this layout at a crop on August 1st, the day the Stuck?! sketch was posted lol…it’s been a busy month and I kept forgetting to post it!

I brought a ton of pictures with me from our first Disney trip in 2011.  I didn’t think these would be the first pics I’d grab but my scrap group had an inspiration challenge this month and it was a peacock picture with pretty colors.  So I ended up buying quite a few things to build this page.  I had so much fun misting and dabbing with Tim Holtz distress sprays & stains!  I also bought two of his new punches to make flowers.  I punched them out of white cardstock and used the stain on them.  The patterned papers are from an Echo Park boy line that I had with me for pics of my nephew. They worked great for these outdoor pictures!

Canada 2011

Good morning!

Today I am sharing a layout I made for Let’s Get Sketchy Week 2 sketch. I picked out papers from DCWV’s Good Wood stack and Modern Meadow stack. The leaves were cut from Lawn Fawn’s Stitched Leaves dies (larger leaf) and MFT’s Falling Leaves dienamics (smaller leaf).  The pictures are from our first Disney trip in September 2011.

First Look @ Tomorrowland {a Disney layout}

TGIF!!

I got out of work early and took advantage of the nice weather to run a few fun errands. Hobby Lobby and the cupcake shop! I’m all ready for a long scrappy weekend!

This is another layout that I did last week. It is for the 2nd August sketch from ScrapMuch?  These are pictures from our first Disney trip in September 2011. One of my Disney groups had a challenge to scrap a space theme and to use metal. Check and check! Do you see the hidden Mickey? 🙂

I used cardstock, buttons and brads from my stash and some patterned paper from the October Afternoon Rocket Age collection.

Disney Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop – Celebrations

Happy Wednesday!

Disney-Wordless-Wednesday-A

It’s time for the Disney Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop and this week’s theme is Celebrations! I’m about to get all wordy LOL…This takes me back to our first trip in September 2011.  We were celebrating our belated honeymoon and 1 year anniversary with a WDW vacation. We arrived on a Sunday which was our actual anniversary.

We spent the afternoon/evening at Hollywood Studios where my husband persuaded me to ride Tower of Terror. I was all starry eyed and said yes…ha, will never, ever step foot on it again. Thankfully we do not have the picture to prove how terrified I was but here is a nice before picture!

Later that day we had a nice dinner at Mama Melrose~

Also on that trip, we celebrated at Shula’s. This was a huge treat for us. The few years before this were rough financially so this was a “we made it” dinner celebrating all of our milestones.

Thanks for coming down memory lane with me today 🙂
