Zoo Babies Sprinkle Card

Well…I officially fell off the 25 Days of Christmas card wagon…hoping I can catch up but it’s doubtful at this point. I also found a TON of Christmas cards in various nooks and crannies so I don’t actually need them (but it would be nice to be ahead for next year!)

Saturday was my sister’s sprinkle for her little girl arriving early next month.  I made this card for her on Friday night and almost forgot to blog it!  I used SU Zoo Babies and a mix of new and retired SU products, most of which I can’t remember the name of at the moment.

2015 Card 128 - SU Zoo Babies

The card was created using the sketch at Create with Connie and Mary.

No promises as to when I will be back. I’m still in full decorating mode here and need to get my cards in the mail!

Thanks for stopping by!

Baby Girl Congrats

I’m finally getting around to sharing the first baby card I made earlier in the week.  I stressed and stressed over this card lol…not used to making custom cards for someone to give someone else. Especially for a monumental event like the birth of a child!

I pulled out my Verve stamp set To the Moon and picked the elephant, frame and sentiment to use.  I don’t use a lot of baby stamps in my crafting so my choices were limited to a few animal sets that can be used for other things. Once again the Simple Stories Baby Steps paper was a lifesaver. The patterns in that pad are just so pretty!

2015 Card 10 - Verve To the Moon

I added a doily from Stampin’ Up! as well as some new yummy ribbon from the Occasions catalog. I love the texture! The little tag is from MFT Stitched Traditional Tags Stax and the pearls are from SU.

I used the sketch from Retro Sketches for the layout~

Tomorrow is Friday, yippee!!

Stamps: Verve Stamps To the Moon

Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black (elephant), Ranger Archival Black (sentiment)

CS: PTI Stampers Select White (base), Copic Xpress it (image/sentiment), SU Pink Pirouette

PP: Simple Stories Baby Steps

Other: SU doily, Hello Honey  5/8″ quilted cotton ribbon, pearls; MFT Stitched Traditional Tags Stax and Stitched Square Stax, copics

I finally went into my craft room tonight to create. I made two cards, this one for the MFT sketch challenge and another that I will share later this week.

This card was a labor of love! I have had the MFT Blueprints 20 set since it came out and hadn’t found an occasion to use it. I was working on a baby card earlier and decided the quilt piece would be perfect for a baby card! One of my stepsisters will be a grandma for the first time in a few weeks so I made it for her. I cut the die 6 times, 3 with patterned paper from Simple Stories Baby Steps and 3 pieces of MFT cardstock in Sno Cone, Pink Lemonade and Sweet Tooth.  Then I mixed up the pieces and put one together. I’ll save the rest for future cards!

2015 Card 11 - MFT Blueprints 20

I added the banner from Blueprints 20 stamped with a sentiment and heart from the MFT LJD Whimsical Wishes stamp set and cut a Pink Lemonade heart from Blueprints 15.

Here is the sketch~

Zoo Babies Congratulations

I’ve been thinking on the Create with Connie & Mary color challenge all week and finally came up with something tonight 🙂 I am also entering the button challenge at The Paper Players, they were the perfect embellishment for my card.

I saw that the Alphabet Press embossing folder is one of the weekly deals and decided to use that for the first time. I bought it last year when it was a deal. Using that folder led me to making a baby card using Zoo Babies.

2014 Card 120 - SU Zoo Babies

(Ignore the black strip at the top, I can’t seem to get rid of the shadows in my pictures!)

I used the Tangelo Twist as a card base and on the lion.  I embossed the folder using Bermuda Bay and added Basic Gray buttons. I finished the buttons off with Bermuda Bay twine and added a sentiment stamped in Basic Gray. I added a second neutral color with Baked Brown Sugar as a ground for the lion.

Thanks for visiting!
