Happy 4th of July!

Happy 4th of July!

I made two cards on Friday to share today using Taylored Expressions stamps.

Here is the first one using Light Up the Night.  Do you see Mickey?  I didn’t even notice at first but there is a Mickey head out of the 3 big fireworks! I colored the fireworks using several Stampin’ Up! markers – Raspberry Ripple, Midnight Muse, Island Indigo and Lost Lagoon.

The plaid paper was cut using an MFT Cover Up die – the Stitched Cover Up companion – Vertical. I added a few star brads from my stash to complete the card.

Here is the second card using the 4th of July Wreath.  I stamped it on a tag cut from Build a Tag #1 and colored it with copics. I added twine and a star brad from my stash to finish it off.

Happy 4th of July!

Just popping in with a quick card to celebrate the 4th of July!

I used another old stamp from my stash, Stampendous Biker Bee, along with this week’s SCS sketch and more of the Americana paper that I used the other day.

I added some sparkle to his wings and his little antennae but it’s not showing up too well.  It’s still wet and didn’t photograph well.

Here is the sketch~

Strawberry Shortcake Sliders

I saw this recipe earlier in the week and decided to make them tonight for a barbeque at my parents.  They were quick, easy & super tasty!

Strawberry Shortcake Sliders

All you need is:

  • Store bought pound cake
  • Strawberries
  • Whipped Cream
  • Toothpicks

Check out Cleverly Inspired for the recipe which includes homemade whipped cream! I just used a can of whipped cream since my Mom had several in the fridge already.

We’ll be using up the rest of the ingredients to make several more over the long weekend!

It has been ages since I have inked up a Changito stamp! I found several when I was moving stamps around a few weeks ago.  This was a quick card to make, I kept it clean and simple with a few small pieces of patterned paper and a little bit of twine. Sparkle was added with Star Dust stickles.
