Preschool Graduation Card

I’m back with my 2nd post for the day and project 2 for my 2017 Craft from My Stash challenge.

This card is for my little nephew/godson who graduated from preschool today! I’m still in shock and awe that he is old enough for kindergarten!!

I used the MFT Weekly Sketch Challenge that closes shortly, nothing like waiting til the last minute lol! I made this card very late last night. I had no idea what I wanted to make and as I was flipping through my stamps, I came across an old set that hasn’t seen much ink – LJD Out on a Limb, the letters & numbers circles are perfect for a school related card!

Here is the sketch ~

I started this post earlier and then ran out of time before I had to leave, so now you get to see the little graduate!

It was a fun little ceremony full of cute kids singing songs.

Have a great day!

40th Birthday Card

Good morning!!

I have been meaning to post since the beginning of the month and keep getting sidetracked with other things.

(Graphic made using an old photo of my room and the Rhonna Designs app)

June kicked off my 3rd Annual Craft from My Stash, where I focus more on using my craft stash and less on purchasing new products. Two exceptions are a new catalog order from SU (already in the works before I decided to run my challenge again lol) and a trip to the LSS in August for my bday. My goal is to complete 10-15 projects per month (cards, layouts, etc.)

A few weeks ago, one of my dear friends celebrated her 40th birthday. I wasn’t sure what to do for her card and came across the sketch from As You Can See It, the day it was posted.

I used SU’s Number of Years stamp set and coordinating dies for the numbers and sentiment. The scalloped square was stamped with sprinkles from the Cool Treats stamp set. The patterned paper is from the coordinating Tasty Treats dsp.

Here is the sketch~

I’ll be back in a bit with another card!

SSS Brand Swap

Another late night post from me!  I can’t seem to get the cards made, photographed amd blogged earlier in the night.

Tonight’s card is for a brand swap in one of my card groups. I took several months off but decided to jump in this month. Simon Says Stamp was the chosen brand and I knew I had plenty to choose from!

I started off by stamping almost every image in the set with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and then I ran that sheet through my Scan N Cut. Then I colored the flowers and leaves with various Copics. The paper strips are from Fancy Pants Attwell and I used a wavy scallop border from SSS on the green piece. The big flowers are popped up on dimensionals and I added a sentiment from SSS Friendship Blooms.

That’s all for now!

Supplies ~

Stamps: Simon Says Stamp Sketch Ranunculus, Friendship Blooms

Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black

CS: SU Soft Sky, Copic Xpress It

Avant Garden #5

Here is the last card in my Avant Garden series. Let me tell you about it and then below I’ll share my verdict on whether I am keeping the set or not.

When I finished this card last night, I wasn’t overly crazy about it. After looking at it now, I do like it. Random stamping is something I really enjoy. I think the plain background could have been jazzed up and I’ll remember that for next time.

Verdict: After 5 cards with this set and some technical difficulties with the flower, I have decided to add this set to my tag sale box. I think if it was a larger set I might have held on it, but I did use each stamp multiple times so I am fine with parting with it.

Time to move on to another set!

Have a great night!
