Happy Mail Valentine – Matchup with a Twist #1

It’s my first creation of 2016!

I decided to restart my Matchup challenge and I’ve added a twist for each one.  Today’s Matchup is Sugar Pea Designs and WRMK paper with a twist of accent dies (I used a Taylored Expression tag die). All supplies will be listed in a list below.

This card is also for the SugarSketch 35 at Sugar Pea Designs. I decided to create a Valentine card since I’m just a teeny bit tired of Christmas cards.

2016 Card 1 - SPD Happy Mail

I used some newer WRMK paper called Crush and the Sugar Pea Designs Happy Mail stamp set. One of my goals that I forgot to list earlier is to have my cards be finished and ready to mail. So I continued the sentiment from the front to the inside and stamped the two hearts included in the stamp set.

Nothing’s better than Happy Mail!

Hi there!

Today I made a card for the sketch at Sugar Pea Designs. I had Happy Mail sitting on my desk to use for the last sketch and missed it, so I made sure to make get one done this time.  I just love the penguin stamps from SPD! They are so much fun to create with!

I didn’t realize until I went to add my penguin to my card front that it was soooo big LOL. I guess I should have measured that first and made a bigger card.  I am sure the recipient will love it anyways…as long as I remember to actually mail it!

I even did the inside of the card! Check it out!

Tin Can Chat

TGIF!!

I was going to blog last night and totally forgot by the time we got home. We decided to go out to dinner after work. 🙂

This was actually the first card I made last Saturday.  I felt like a newbie all over again with my copics but I think it turned out well. Since there was so much to color, I had fun and picked all sorts of colors and then decided to add polka dots to the little girl’s dress.  The flowers were stamped, colored and then fussy cut to add to my scene.

The supplies are all from the same card kit that I used on my other cards that are on the blog this week.  The layout is from Sketch Saturday, still a few hours to enter there!

That’s all for now! Have a great day!

Rice Rice, Baby in Pink!

TGIF!

Tonight I am sharing a card I made for my friend’s birthday. I am using Rice Rice, Baby from Sugar Pea Designs (yes again lol…once a month for birthdays!). I used their sketch and was inspired by Wendy’s sample to color the penguin pink for a change. I like how it turned out, it’s a great look for a girly birthday card.

I was hoping to spend more time in my room tonight but it’s been a long week. Hoping to get in there tomorrow night and Sunday to get my craft on!
