Stampin’ Up Sunday – Falling Flowers

Good morning!!

Danni and I are bringing back her old Stampin’ Up Sunday series! Today we are using the pretty Falling Flowers stamp set!  You can check out her post HERE!

This is the pile of flowers that I stamped, colored and die cut using the stamp set and coordinating die set, May Flowers. It took me HOURS!  Some of the flowers were stamped on Whisper White cardstock and lightly watercolored using the same color that I stamped the flowers/leaves in.

I then built several card bases using the same colors – Old Olive, Perfect Plum, Elegant Eggplant and the new In-Color Sweet Sugarplum.  From there I started building my cards, adding in die cuts from the Layering Squares and Circles framelits.  In total I made 4 cards and a bookmark. I’ll share the first two cards today!

Sentiments were added using the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set. I needed something really small to stamp in there. I tried going with no sentiments but I didn’t like the look.

I’ll share the other cards soon – hopefully in the next few days!  Thanks for stopping by today!

Black & White

Hello and Happy November (several days late lol…)

Today I made a card for a black & white swap. I’m pretty pleased with how it turned out!

I used Stampin’ Up!’s Falling Flowers stamp set, Butterfly Basics stamp set and Butterflies thinlits. The layout is from Sketch~N~Scrap’s card sketch posted yesterday.

I stamped the flourish and the sentiment and then cut them out with a Layering Oval framelit.  Some texture was added to the white panel with the Brick Wall embossing folder. I then added the butterfly and several sequins to finish off the card.

6th Anniversary

Today is our 6th wedding anniversary! Hard to believe it has been that long already lol!

This is the card I made for Mike.  I used the current sketch at Case This Sketch and color challenge at Create with Connie & Mary.  I used all Stampin Up supplies, including the Number of Years set that has made a few appearances on the blog in recent weeks!

The very vanilla layer was embossed with the Woodgrain folder but it’s not showing up too well. I thought it added a touch of masculinity to the card and it’s a reminder that we got married outdoors and took some of our pictures in a wooded area. 🙂

75th Birthday

Hi again!

I’m back with another birthday card. This one was created for my mother-in-law who celebrated her 75th birthday on Friday.  I incorporated several challenges (listed below) in making this card.

I used several stamps from the Stampin Up Number of Years stamp set, even the flowers were from the set! Even though it’s technically not fall yet, I wanted the card to have a fall feel to it and I think I accomplished that with the color palette and burlap.

The sketch used is from Freshly Made Sketches~

and the color challenge at Pals Paper Arts~

also the N is for Numbers challenge at Alphabet Challenge

and the birthday challenge at 4 Crafty Chicks!

My MIL’s party was on Labor Day and I created tags for the favor bags.  A huge labor of love since I hand stamped 40 tags.  All the stamps used are from Lawn Fawn – Birthday Tags, Violet’s ABCs and Milo’s ABCs.
