I’m still on track with LOAD, just not posting them here daily. This page was created for LOAD as well as several other challenges. I used Sketch #99 at Sketch-N-Scrap, the color challenge for Lasting Memories Challenge #280 and my group’s Office Space challenge (to include something you would find in an office on your page, either on the paper or embellishment).
I picked pictures from one of my favorite Disney rides, Spaceship Earth. I just love this scene and I think after 6 trips, these are the best pictures I have taken of it.
In the journaling I talked about the part computers have played in my life in recent years. I pulled the title from having the huge computers in the photos and added a laptop stamp from Gina K Designs for the small part. I thought it was a neat idea. I used Basic Grey’s Aurora collection which I purchased specifically for Epcot Future World pictures. The colors worked well for the Lasting Memories challenge.
Here is the sketch (which I rotated to fit my pictures better)~
and the color palette~
I hope to be back later with another page!
I made a quick card tonight for Day 9. I was going to do my “matchup” with it but had a different idea in mind, so the matchup #8 & #9 cards will come another day.
I pulled out my Winter Cheer Stamp TV kit and made this cute snowman card.
I attempted a flat bow for easy mailing but that didn’t work out so well. I will either have to pay extra or hand deliver this one!
I hope to be more crafty tomorrow night!
Stamps: Gina K. Designs Winter Cheer Stamp TV kit set
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, MFT Red Hot
CS: Winter Cheer Stamp TV kit
PP: Winter Cheer
Other: MFT Stitched Square Stax, copics, SU rhinestones, ribbon from kit
I made it back with another card. I kept this one simple since I didn’t want to cover up my hard work on the background!
The card base, designer paper, ribbon and sentiment are from Gina K. Design’s The Simple Things Stamp TV kit. I added two leaves from one of the backgrounds I made yesterday. They were too pretty to throw away 🙂
Have a great night!
I put one of yesterday’s background on a card. I started out using the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches but missed the deadline, oops!
The card base, designer paper, twine and image are all from last fall’s The Simple Things Stamp TV kit from Gina K. I stamped the image with SU Tangelo Twist and Old Olive with my new MISTI. I really did not think I needed this tool but I bought it a few weeks ago…one of those everyone else has one, I must have it too lol! But I have to say it made a world of difference!
The left image was stamped with an acrylic block and the image on the right was stamped with the MISTI.
The pumpkin was cut with my new Scan N Cut 2 machine. I used birthday money towards this purchase, another thing everyone else has and I had to have it. This machine is the best!! I did see one in action before buying it and knew I needed since I can’t fussy cut very well due to arthritis and dies are getting really pricey. I have loads of old stamps that do not have dies so I think I will get a lot of use out of this tool. It did cut off part of the curly things but I was okay with it…need to read up on scanning images a bit more to fix that issue.
I need to get at least one more card done before calling it a night!
