Stacking the Shelves 1/14/18

Good morning!

I am hoping to once again share more than crafts on this blog. I made blogs for different interests a few years ago but found them to difficult to maintain. So here I am again with book posts! {Crafty friends, feel free to skip them!}

This is a fun linkup I found a month or two ago and decided to participate this week!

Pre-Orders that went live this week ~ I am trying to branch out from my cozy mystery reading habit and found a lot of new to me authors through various blogs recently.

Bargain Books I Purchased ~ (may not be on sale now)

A book group will be reading this in the next few months so I grabbed it. I may regret it as it’s a bit of a thriller and I don’t like scary stories lol.

Book Roundup – 4/19/15

I’ve been inspired by Melissa at Melissa’s Eclectic Bookshelf to share what is on and has been added to my shelves this week.  I took a picture of some of my shelves so I could have a nifty little graphic to post.  I miss sharing what I’m reading! Not sure I will do this every week but will try my best (as long as I finish books LOL!)

My Bookshelves-002

What I Read Last Week~

  • Spring Fever by Mary Kay Andrews – Interesting story about a prominent small town family and their family business. It was slow in some spots but overall I enjoyed the storyline and the ending.
  • Hot Pursuits by Stuart Woods (Stone Barrington #33) – I usually devour these books. This was wasn’t as action packed at first but it definitely picked up towards the middle of the book. I loved having the book feature Holly Barker more and her storyline. Each small storyline tied together to finish the book nicely.

What I Am Reading Today~

Added to the {Virtual} Bookshelf This Week~

I have been trying hard to cut back on book buying but I found lots of cheap books this week that sounded good so they made their way to my Kindle!

What have you been reading?

Happy November!

Good morning and Happy November!

I don’t have any calendar pages yet…hopefully soon! I do have a great October book report though! I read SIX books!! A few were started in August & September and the rest were started and finished last month.

#36 Muffin by Murder by Victoria Hamilton (Merry Muffin Mystery #2) ebook

#37 Family Album by Danielle Steel – ebook

#38 Paris Match by Stuart Woods (Stone Barrington #31) ebook

#39 Bad Bites by Jessica Beck (Donut Mystery #16) ebook

#40 Holly Blues by Susan Wittig Albert (China Bayles #18) ebook

#41 Clobbered by Camembert by Avery Aames (Cheese Shop Mystery #3) paperback

I enjoyed everything I read this month. The Danielle Steel was a re-read for me, but it had been so long that I forgot many details. It made me remember why I love her books and need to pick them up more often! I swore I wasn’t going to buy any more books for the Stone Barrington & Donut Mystery series but I couldn’t help myself LOL! I’m glad I did though since I really liked both books!

I’m off to a crop today. Can’t wait to see my crafty friends! I hope you all have a great weekend too!

It’s October…

Hi everyone!

I’ve been very slow to get my October calendar pages done and posted. I finally have two to share with you tonight!

Here is the first one using Jillibean Soup paper and Taylored Expressions Falling for You stamp set and die set~

Dawn October Calendar TE Falling for You

and the second one using Taylored Expressions Hocus Pocus paper and Critters in Costume stamp set~

Mom October Calendar TE Critters in Costume

I really liked Taylored Expressions new patterned paper! It’s a nice weight and I could stamp directly on it and the ink didn’t smear or soak in. Two thumbs up from me!

I also want to share my book roundup for last month…it’s quite sad as I only finished one book!

#35 Arsenic and Old Cake by Jacklyn Brady (A Piece of Cake Mystery #3) – ebook

I really enjoyed this book! I forgot how much I liked this series and still have to more to be caught up.  The premise was very interesting and highly entertaining.

That’s all for now!
